Kent loves interim pastoral ministry, which he has done in Eugene and Corvallis, OR, Chicago and Deerfield, IL, since 2004. He enjoys preaching, teaching, pastoral care and helping congregations to get ready for a new future. When Kent attended McCormick Theological Seminary, its campus was at the corner of Halsted and Fullerton. So he feels that he is "coming home" to Lincoln Park. Kent has served city churches in Ohio and Arizona, and campus churches in Iowa and Oregon. He was also a presbytery executive in Cleveland. He enjoys sports, hiking, biking, theater and CSO concerts. He and his spouse Vicky Curtiss live downtown. Donald Knight, Organist & Choir Director Donald has taught singing for 33 years, both privately and at DePaul, Northwestern and Northeastern Illinois universities. He studied voice at Indiana University and The New England Conservatory of Music. Pupils of his have gone on to enjoy operatic singing careers throughout Europe as well as with the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera choruses. Donald has directed choirs and served as organist for Presbyterian, Lutheran and Roman Catholic congregations.Donald feels he has a responsibility to pass-on that which his teachers/mentors have, so patiently and lovingly, instilled in him. Additionally, he cherishes the company of his friends and his house-mate, a Jack Russell terrier-miniature whippet mix called Lila.
