What We Are

Living in Faith... Caring with Courage

This brief mission statement of Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church reflects what we strive for in our church life and much of what we have accomplished in the past:

  • An anti-segregation building policy in the 1870's
  • Resettlement of refugees after World War II
  • Standing with the inclusive More Light movement beginning in the 1970's
  • Involvement with the Lincoln Park Community Shelter starting in 1984 and continuing through the recent shelter redevelopment and housing

Our vision has been one of opening our doors to all of God's people. Whether you are a long time Presbyterian or a seeker looking for a place to explore your faith, you are welcome here. We at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church strive to make our house of faith a home for all.

Why Us?

  • We are about what God CAN do through each of us—creating change in a broken world.
  • We are a "More Light Church," meaning all people are welcomed to full participation and membership regardless of sex, age, race, ethnic background, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or worldly condition.
