Our Mission

The congregation has a long and strong
history of service and working for social justice in church and society. LPPC was one of the founding churches of Chicago’s Night Ministry, has sponsored Southeast Asian refugees, participates annually in the CROP Walk, and helped start and currently houses the Lincoln Park Community Shelter for the Homeless among many other activities over the years.

Worship services are held Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. Everyone is welcome and we really mean it.  We value diversity, including age, abilities, cultures, race, gender identification, sexuality, class, marital status, and anything else that might keep you from being accepted elsewhere. Communion is celebrated each month, usually on the first Sunday.  Time for Refreshment follows each service.

Get Involved

Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church was formed in 1966 by the merger of the Fullerton and Christ Presbyterian Churches. The Fullerton Church was itself the result of a merger in 1932 of the Fullerton Avenue and Covenant Presbyterian Churches. These predecessor churches, with roots dating back to 1843, ministered for many generations, surviving the Chicago Fire, the Great Depression, and many cultural changes.

Our Vision

With God’s help, we can do great things! At Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church, we strive to demonstrate the open, inclusive and accepting love of Jesus Christ. We pray, sing, study and worship in old ways and new, inviting families of all sorts – singles, couples, and children – to nurture their faith in a growing and vibrant congregation. We promote God’s justice and peace in our community.
